RABBIT CONTROL

Rabbits are one of the most successful mammals in the UK. They live in large groups underground in what is known as a warren. Rabbits can cause considerable damage. This damage can be in the form of grazing causing damage to farm land and gardens. They also cause damage by their constant burrowing which can cause subsidence.
TREATMENT
There are a number of options in the control of rabbits. The best way to control rabbits is by proofing them out. This can be done by rabbit proof fencing or electric fencing.
If lethal control is needed shooting and ferreting are the most effective options. Shooting will reduce the population to a reasonable level but will not completely eliminate a rabbit population. Ferreting is environmentally friendly, unobtrusive if you have livestock and can completely empty a warren thus leading to the complete eviction of rabbits from your property.
